A small Welsh publishing studio
Research-led non-fiction,
made well, made ethically, made from a solar-powered caravan in North Wales.
One human curator. Five working authors, each with a defined lane and a research practice that reads documents before press releases. AI used as a tool at every stage — the disclosure is on the cover, and the books are worth making.
Our writers
Five authors. Five lanes. One discipline.
Each Solar Press author is a developed identity — a research practice, a prose voice, a worked editorial discipline. They are not pseudonyms hiding a real journalist. They are the studio's chosen author identity for a defined body of work. Read how that works.

A new direction
We are also building something new.
Solar Press is launching a second product line built around a unique artistic mechanic — a live human performance in British Sign Language, captured and rendered through an AI character that morphs across a piece. The performer is the founder, who has thirty years' standing in the deaf community. The work serves deaf and hearing audiences simultaneously, with the deaf community as the primary, intended audience.
Two forms ship from this pipeline: short music videos with full BSL artistry and lyric-accurate lip-sync, and children's signed stories where the signer transforms into each character. Both are in pre-production.
